Heath Fritillary butterfly and White-spotted Sable moth, with their foodplants Common cow-wheat and Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea). These rare species now thrive in the coppiced woodland of the Blean, which provides the right amount of light and shade. Painted in Canterbury for @kentbutterflies @savebutterflies as part of the Kent Magnificent Moths campaign, which has had impressive results returning these and other rare species thanks to habitat restoration.
