ATM Street Artist

First published in Wood Street Walls

ATM is a London-based artist who hails from Rochdale, northern England and studied art in Sheffield. Growing up in the dales he was no stranger to nature and it’s these roots that have inspired him to paint rare and endangered British birds.

ATM started out as part of collective - Anarchist Trouble Makers - that wanted to have a social impact, art that was connected to what was happening in the real world. Whilst the group is no longer, it was at this time he began painting birds due to his concern about the environment and in 2014 he began painting them across the capital, a juxtaposition to the places they were once found.

ATM kicked off 2015’s murals by painting two Pied Wagtails in the Brandon Road Car Park, off Wood Street.
