Acrylic on USA 20 Dollar banknote
The highly endangered golden-cheeked warbler is the only species of bird confined solely to the state of Texas. It has a breeding range of just 20 acres, nesting in Juniper trees. Their habitat has been cleared for houses, roads and to grow crops and grass for livestock, and the juniper trees have been felled for timber products.
